    • Outside Mount shades are mounted on your wall or molding (rather than within window frame). Even if your windows have enough frame depth for Inside Mount, you may prefer the extra room darkening and privacy Outside Mount provides, since greater window coverage reduces light leak at shade edges.

Inside Mount shades are contained within your window frame. OptiPleat Shades require at least a 3/4" frame depth for Inside Mount (required depth varies with some upgrades). You may prefer an Inside Mount because it provides a finished look without covering your molding; it also allows more clearance to layer Drapery, or a Valance over shades. Before choosing Inside Mount, be sure to check your windows for "squareness", since Inside Mounted shades will not operate properly if windows are not "square."

Side Mount is useful when shades cannot be mounted to the top of the window frame. Maximum width for Side Mount of OptiPleat Shades is 48".

    • Standard Lift raises + lower shades with cord; keeps dangling lift cords out of the reach of small children or pets.

Loop Control allows you to raise your shade smoothly with little effort. This feature allows for even placement of your shade when it is partially raised. Cord loop length depends on the height of your shade; standard length is approximately 2/3 the height of the shade or you may choose a longer or shorter length depending on your specific needs. Loop control cords are available in larger set sizes up to 180".

Top Down Bottom Up lets in natural light while maintaining privacy by lowering shades from top, or raising from bottom.

Cordless allows you to evenly raise, lower and position even the largest shades without lift cords. Minimum width for Cordless is 18.5". Shades wider than 48" will have two handles.

Cordless Top Down/Bottom Up combines safety and performance without cords.

For Top Down/Bottom Up, rail colors available in white, ivory, or taupe as a no charge option or upgrade to fabric wrapped, bronze, or brushed nickel.

    • If you select our standard OptiPleat, or OptiPleat with Top Down/Bottom Up or 2 on 1 Headrail, you may complement your shade material with a choice of White, Ivory or Taupe as the standard finish of both the top and bottom rail of your shades. Or upgrade to Fabric Wrapped top and bottom rails to match your shade material precisely, or choose metallic finishes of Brushed Nickel or Bronze.

If you select Cordless, Cordless Top Down/Bottom Up, or Loop Control OptiPleat Shades, your top and bottom rail options are White, Bronze or Brushed Nickel that includes an insert to complement the fabric.

    • Lift cords raise, lower and position your entire shade. Select either left- or right-side location for your cords, taking into consideration your room configuration, ease of reaching lift cords behind furniture, etc. Top Down/Bottom Up shades will have cords on both sides; one to control lowering the shade from the top, the other to control raising it from the bottom. If you select 2 on 1 Headrail controls will be on the outside of each shade. A cord cleat will also be provided with your shade, which must be installed and used properly to keep dangling lift cords out of the reach of small children and pets.

    • Your shades will have a standard clearance of approximately 3/8" from the mounting surface. Extension Brackets project your shades further away - 3" for a total of 3 3/8" - from the mounting surface, allowing them to clear obstacles such as door handles, window operating cranks and molding. Extension Brackets may only be used for Outside Mount, and may not be combined with Loop Control upgrade.

    • An operation pole is perfect to raise and lower your cordless sheer shadings. We offer two sizes of operating poles, a small pole extends up to 6 feet and the large pole extends to 12 feet. Operating poles are ideal for windows that are out of reach or far from the ground. The operating pole will lock into the cordless handle that is used to operate the shade, and you will be able to raise and lower with ease.
