The DISC collection for Smith & Noble is designed by David Dick and Krista Schrock, co-founders of DISC Interiors. DISC Interiors is a residential design firm, whose projects have been published in CA Home & Design, C Style, Conde Nast House and Garden, House and Home, and other leading online and printed publications. Their style has been called "warm modern" and having a "timeless and enviable California vibe." The DISC Collection for Smith & Noble is a result of our client's needs for window coverings that provide modern solutions for their homes.
Krista and David's combined backgrounds in styling and visual art, respectively, bring distinct yet complimentary perspectives on interior design to their practice. Together, they seek out the finest in bespoke furnishings and patinead vintage pieces to design their projects, which span from California to Maine. The result is homes rich with diverse textures and handcrafted furnishings that balance artful ease with modernity.
They were named one of "Lonny's Next Big Names" in Interior Design. VISIT THEIR PORTFOLIO >
"David, an artist and former glass blower shares Krista's love of classic interiors with a rustic edge; and layered, textural rooms that use color and accessories sparingly."
We came to Smith & Noble with a specific idea for the Sunset Idea Home in Manhattan Beach, that is centered around the palpable texture and a tonal color palette that reflects the natural surroundings and colorings of California. The woven shades that were selected are made of natural materials, complete with rich earthy tones that speak of the DISC aesthetic. Working closely with the Smith & Noble merchandising team, and sourcing new color ways and textures, DISC has built a collection that responds to our clients' desire for sophisticated, timeless, and warm modern rooms that "simply feel good".
